My senior in high school has her SENIOR PROM coming up in 3 weeks. The good news: she has both a dress and a date, as of 7 pm last night! The dress she found a couple of weeks ago and ordered online. Oh so very confidant that she would also have a date. I had no doubts either! Yesterday, after a rocky week of secret texts between the date and the younger sister (which was driving Katie crazy), the question was popped! Pierce came over to our house after Katie had left for work and wrote in HUGE chalk letters on the street "Katie, Prom? - Pierce". He let Maggie help color in the letters in Carolina blue chalk which she thought was so cool. Katie was to come home about 7 and I had to invent a lie to make sure she came directly home. But at 6:55, the rest of the family and a handful of neighbors were all outside to witness her arrival. The biggest question we all had- would she slow down enough to notice the question? We knew her answer to the posed question, of course!
